Arcanoweave Part 2

Here is Part 2 of the Arcanoweave doily!  Incanter's Insight continues where Part 1 left off, starting with Round 9 and ending at Round 19.  Arcanoweave Part 1 (Arcane Aura) can be found here- http://www.draiguna.com/2018/10/arcanoweave-part-1.html.
This section adds some texture to the doily by working around the posts of certain stitches.
The thread I'm using is Aunt Lydias size 10 cotton crochet thread in the colors purple and wood violet.

This section has 11 Rounds and the finished size is about 8".  Part 1 can be found here.

Blocking and Finishing

It is optional but recommended to block your finished piece. Fill a bowl with water and add some liquid starch if you prefer the doily to be lightly stiffened. Soak the doily and gently press out any excess liquid, being careful not to pull or twist on the stitches. Lay it flat on a blocking mat and pin the doily working from the center out to the edges. Allow the doily to dry completely before removing the pins.

Round 9

Attaching the thread on Round 9 and making the first front post single crochet (FPSc)

Step 1- With the wrong side of your work facing up, insert hook around post of any center dc of the 7-dc group on Round 7.

Step 2- Pick up a loop of the thread you are joining and draw through.

Step 3- Ch 1.

Step 4- To make the first FPsc, insert hook around the post of the same dc and pick up a loop.

Step 5- Pull up a loop, there should be 2 loops now on the hook.

Step 6- yo and draw through both loops on the hook.

Finishing Round 9

Insert hook around the post of the next dc (same st as the first FPsc) and above the first FPsc and make the last FPsc.  To make the last ch-5 space, ch 2 and dc in the first FPsc.

Round 10

Working with the right side of the doily facing up, ch 3 (counts as first dc), and make 6 dc in the same st (the dc of last ch-5 space made).  [ch 3 and make 7 dc in the center ch of the next ch-5 space] around.  To make the last ch-3 space- ch 1 and hdc in the third ch of the first dc.

Making the first FPdc on Round 11

Step 1- yo and insert hook around the post of the next dc.

Step 2- yo and pull up a loop, there should be 3 loops on the hook.

Step 3- yo and draw through 2 loops, 2 loops remaining on the hook.

Step 4- yo and draw through the last 2 loops on the hook.
