Sunday morning

I took some pictures today of the eastern bluebirds.  They have been gathering materials for their nest.
The female bluebird decided that a chicken feather would be a nice addition :D

This tiny chipmunk was out and about this morning visiting the bird feeders.

Also this weekend was the county library's annual book sale.  I found some great books and even a few thread crochet pamphlets :D  The J. & P. Coats Quick crochet gifts has some interesting bookmarks in it that I want to make.

Dawnglow

The pattern for this doily is available now!  It is small and quick to make.  Dawnglow is 18 rounds and measures 8 1/2".  There is a photo tutorial available here, and written instructions available here.  You can also find links for both in the patterns section.  Materials needed are- 1 ball of size 10 thread and a 1.75 mm hook.  The thread I used is Artiste cotton in the colors Glacier Ice and Rose Quartz.  For the ecru doily I used Aunt Lydia's.

The doily has a few different stitches including puff stitches, clusters, front post single crochet, and picots.  It also has pineapples!  I hope that you enjoy making the doily :D

Trio of doilies

I finished typing a pattern for the light pink doily and it will be available tomorrow :D  I'm still working on patterns for the smaller two.  The light pink doily is 18 rounds and measures about 8 1/2".   There are several types of stitches including puff stitches, cluster stitches, front post single crochet, and picots.  I've never made a doily with puff stitches before but I like how it turned out!

They all have the same center but I may change the border on the smaller ones.  The ecru doily measures 6 1/2" and the variegated orange and purple one measures 5".

Making it again in my favorite color, glacier ice (Artiste thread).  The pattern will include a photo tutorial.
