🌼 Decorating the eggs ðŸŒ¼

Small Flower-

First petal- with size 10 crochet thread and using the smaller hook ch 4, slip st in third ch from hook and in the next ch (the first ch made).

Second petal- ch 4, slip st in fourth ch from hook and in the first ch made.

Petals 3-6- Repeat instructions for the second petal 4 times, fasten off and weave in ends.

Stripes-

For a wide stripe have your work with the right side facing up.  For a thin stripe have your work with the wrong side facing up.

1- Depending on the size stripe your making, start with either the right side facing up (wide stripe) or wrong side facing up (thin stripe), and holding the thread behind your work, insert hook in any ch-2 or ch-3 space.
2- pull up a loop.
3- Working around the post of the next FPdc or BPdc, insert hook in the space between the next 2 sts and pull up a loop.  Draw through 1 loop on hook to make a slip st.  Repeat step 3 for the remaining sts in the row, fasten off and weave in ends.

Adding the flowers-

Thread the sewing needle and place the flower where you want it to go on the egg.  Starting on the back of your work, bring the needle up through the middle of the flower and back down again.  If using beads, place one in the center of the flower.  Bring the sewing needle back up through the center of the bead and back down next to the bead so that the thread wraps around it.  Do this a few more times spacing the thread evenly around the bead so it lays flat.  Tie both ends of the thread in a knot and trim the edges.
